新文科建设的意蕴及其“破”“立”之道

摘要: 新文科建设是指人文社会科学与新一轮科技革命和产业变革交叉融合,形成一系列交叉融合学科和相关专业的过程。推进新文科建设,需要“破”与“立”的统一,既要打破“文科无用”的固化思维,破除学科划分的壁垒和文科发展的老路;又要通过树立“文科有用”的强大自信心,确立学科融合的新模式,加强主体能力建设,形成新文科建设的动力机制;适时地以发掘内源性动力,汲取文科发展的经验,重视通识教育,倡导多元发展模式和重构科学评价体系等有效路径,推进新文科建设的长足进步。

Abstract: Construction of new liberal arts refers to the process where humanities and social sciences cross-fuse with the new round of technological revolution and industrial transformation to form a series of cross-disciplinary subjects and majors. Promoting the construction of new liberal arts requires the unity of “breaking” and “building”-breaking the solidified thinking of “liberal arts being useless” and the old barriers to disciplinary division of liberal arts development while promoting notable progress in construction of new liberal arts by forming a driving mechanism for the construction of new liberal arts, building the confidence that “liberal arts are useful”, establishing a new model of subject integration, strengthening the main body's capacity building, exploring endogenous power, gaining experience for liberal arts development, attaching importance to general education, advocating multiple development models, and reconstructing scientific evaluation systems, etc.
