Abstract: Under the background of both regional collaborative development and industrial digital transformation, digital culture and tourism provide an important approach to addressing the bottlenecks in the coordinated development of food tourism within the Chengdu-Chongqing economic circle. Based on the theories of collaborative governance, digital economy and industrial integration, this study constructs a four-dimensional analytical framework: cultural activation, experience reconstruction, industrial efficiency improvement and governance upgrading. Some core problems have been identified in the study, including fragmented cultural narratives, disconnected experience scenarios, blocked data circulation and ineffective governance coordination. Accordingly, four collaborative mechanisms are proposed herein: 1) a digital governance mechanism that promotes cross-regional rule mutual recognition through an “institution + platform” model; 2) a scenario symbiosis mechanism that builds coherent experiences centered on food culture IPs of both Chengdu and Chongqing; 3) an industrial collaboration mechanism that unblocks full-chain data via blockchain and privacy computing; and 4) an ecological incentive mechanism that fosters innovation momentum through open-source initiatives, competitions and community autonomy. These four mechanisms will jointly form a “digital-intelligent integration” collaborative ecosystem to provide theoretical support and practical strategies for the coordinated development of food tourism in the Chengdu-Chongqing region.
