载道、崇礼、尊古——梁实秋文学理论与批评的传统渊源

摘要： “新月”文学理论家梁实秋以人性论为基础,构筑起审慎道德论、理性情感论和文学纪律论三位一体的文学理论体系,表现出稳健、保守、节制、注重纪律的文论和批评特征。梁实秋虽然直接受到白璧德等新人文主义学者的影响,但其理论在更深的层面却可以寻找到中国文论和文化的传统渊源,它所倡导的尚德、崇礼、尊古的总体倾向暗合了儒家与新人文主义的观念,体现出对传统的承继与创新。

Abstract: Liang Shiqiu (1903-1987), a “New Moon” literary theoretician, constructed his theory trinity - theory of prudent morality, theory of reasonable emotion and theory of literary discipline -based on the theory of human nature. Both his literary theory and criticism, therefore, show prudence, conservativeness, restraint and discipline. Although directly influenced by ideas of neo-humanists like Irving Babbitt, Liang's theory, when examined in depth, can be traced back to traditional Chinese literary theory and culture. For example, his advocacy of natural law, ritual respect and past reverence is in conformity with Confucianism and neo-humanism, as both demonstrate inheritance and innovation of tradition.
