孔子“仁”学的再审视——基于马克思唯物史观与实践论的视角

摘要: 孔子的“仁”学是先秦儒家心性论的源头,也是春秋末期宗法社会转型的观念表征。本文立足于马克思的历史唯物主义与实践论视角,论证了“仁”不是一个纯粹的道德范畴,而是宗法农业生产方式中双重社会关系的凝练。“仁”作为主体的本质力量,必须以“礼”作为客观中介来开展对象化活动,进而才能够在感性世界中确证自身。这一过程恰好揭示了孔子“克己复礼”、马克思“主体在对象中确证自身”在深层逻辑上的相通。孔子试图借助“内圣”的个人修养,来化解生产关系变革带来的社会危机,这有着一定的历史局限性。运用马克思主义的方法对其进行批判性扬弃,剥离附着在“仁”之上的封建宗法外壳,激活其中的主体间性智慧,能够为推进马克思主义基本原理同中华优秀传统文化相结合提供扎实的学理支撑。

Abstract: Confucius's philosophy of Ren (benevolence) is the source of the pre-Qin Confucian theory of mind and nature as well as an ideological representation of the transformation of the patriarchal society in the late Spring and Autumn (770 B.C.E. -476 B.C.E.) period. Based on the perspectives of Marx's historical materialism and practice theory, this paper argues that Ren is not a purely moral category, but rather a condensed idea of the dual social relations within the patriarchal agricultural mode of production. As the essential power of the subject, Ren must take Li (ritual propriety) as an objective mediator to carry out objectification activities, so as to confirm itself in the sensuous world. This process precisely reveals the deep logical connection between Confucius's idea of “restraining oneself to return to ritual propriety” and Marx's concept of “the subject confirming itself in the object.” Undoubtedly, Confucius's attempt to resolve the social crisis brought about by the transformation of production relations through the personal cultivation of “inner sageliness” has its inevitable historical limitations. Utilizing Marxist methods for critical sublation, stripping away the feudal patriarchal shell attached to Ren, and activating its intersubjective wisdom can provide a solid theoretical foundation for promoting the integration of the basic tenets of Marxism with China's outstanding traditional culture.
