Abstract: Oral historical materials of ethnic minorities have special documentary and historical value. Construction of database of such materials can effectively protect and inherit their language and culture. By using the method of literature analysis, this paper combs through the theoretical research and practice of the construction of oral historical database of ethnic minorities, analyzes the main problems existing at present, and studies the feasibility and effect of the construction strategy based on the experience of the construction of oral historical database of the Yi people in Southwest China. The principles, objectives and processes of the construction of oral historical database of ethnic minorities are scientifically formulated, and the construction strategies for the database in macro work, resource construction, platform construction, co-construction, sharing, sustainable development and copyright protection are proposed.
