Analysis on Health Education Model of AIDS and STD for College Students — Taking Peer Education (POL) of Chuxiong Normal University as an Example

Abstract: Due to the particularity of AIDS and STD, the effect of health education regarding them in colleges and universities is far from satisfactory. The educational subject of college students' peer education model comes from the students who live and study together with the educational objects. The homogeneity of identity of both sides can effectively eliminate estrangement and establish a relationship of trust, promote the extensive and in-depth transmission of knowledge and concepts of AIDS and STD to the students. At the same time, this education model can also enable POL peers to obtain systematic AIDS and STD knowledge training and improve their comprehensive quality.
