Localism of Food— The Emergence and Local Characteristics of Yangxin Yinziba

Abstract: Yinziba (a kind of glutinous rice cake) of Yangxin, Hubei is a snack rich in local characteristics. Because of its unique production technology and special historical and cultural significance, it has gradually become the representative of the food culture of Yangxin County and even southeast Hubei Province. At present, research on county culture from the perspective of local snack specialties is scarce. Therefore, Yangxin yinziba is taken as the object of field investigation to show the unique characteristics of dietary culture of Huangshi and even the rest of southeast Hubei. By digging deep into the regional culture contained in it, the production process of yinziba and local Yangxin culture reflected in its inheritance and development is revealed. It has certain theoretical value and practical significance to look forward to the inheritance and development of Yangxin food culture from the microscopic perspective of characteristic snacks.
