Analysis of the Connection between Course Outline of Modern Chinese History and High School History Teaching

Abstract: Connection between course Outline of Modern Chinese History (“Outline”) and compulsory high school history ensures that the students acquire systematic and coherent knowledge at different teaching stages, so that ideological fractures and knowledge gaps arising during their “critical growth period” are avoided. This is a measure that can foster a new generation of individuals that possess historical insight and political consciousness, reflecting both a progressive, upward educational philosophy and the developmental laws of students' physical and mental growth. This connection primarily involves the integrated alignment of teaching objectives, precise alignment of teaching content, effective alignment of teaching methods, and comprehensive alignment of teaching evaluations. The key implementation pathways include improving corresponding institutional mechanisms, conducting thematic teaching for connection, strengthening relevant faculty development, and organizing effective teaching research. Achieving effective teaching connection between Outline and high school history can improve the ability to analyze and solve problems using scientific worldviews and methodologies while enhancing the quality and effectiveness of education.
