Abstract: The 18-year long history of revolutionary struggle of the people of all ethnic groups of Chuxiong County under the leadership of the Communist Party of China (CPC) is a chapter never to be forgotten or denied in the whole history of Chuxiong County. The history of the 18-year revolutionary struggle shows that in order to push forward revolution and the great cause of construction and reform, 1) the leadership of the Party should be adhered to and strengthened, and the Party should be constructed into a strong and powerful entity; 2) the principle of putting the people at the central position should be adhered to and the people should be relied on to accomplish historical achievements; 3) the ethnic policies of the Party should be thoroughly implemented and all the ethnic groups should be united to advance, prosper and develop together; 4) the patriotic united front should be consolidated and developed to ensure that all our efforts are concentrated on promoting the great cause of national rejuvenation; and 5) the absolute leadership of the Party over the people’s army should be adhered to so that the gun is secured in the hands of the Party and the people.
