Abstract: Styles, patterns and colors of the clothing of the Yi people of Liangshan, Sichuan Province not only differ across regions and genders, but also in wearing functions, wearing areas, age groups and identity. Moreover, traditional accessories have certain folk meanings, so they can not be worn indiscriminately. The folk custom function of the Yi clothing has the functions of education, standardization, consolidation and regulation.
