Abstract: The “image age” has brought about changes in the cognitive style, communication style and subject relationship of college students of minority ethnic groups as well as new challenges to the ideological and political education. For such students there are three ways to improve the effectiveness of ideological and political education, namely, stimulating subject consciousness and strengthening ideological guidance, using image resources to nourish the content of ideological and political education, and improving image quality. This research has important theoretical and practical significance for improving the ideological level and moral literacy of college students of minority ethnic groups and promoting unity, stability, prosperity and development of areas of minority ethnic groups.
