Abstract: The portrayal of women's images in the old style poems during the War against Japanese Aggression (1931-1945) showed women's realistic situation and spiritual ecology after the balance between man and nature, society and culture was broken by the war. Meanwhile women's “existence” in the field of war-torn times was observed. The depiction of female images also reflected the dedication of Chinese women in the war of resistance against Japan, expressed their anti-fascist beliefs, and attacked the numbness and decay of the upper class. The writing of female images in the old style poetry has expanded the subject range of its own creation and promoted the exploration of the subject of the relationship between women and nation in modern Chinese literature.

Key words: the War against Japanese Aggression (1931-1945), old style poetry, women’s image;
