Optimization of and Reflection on Evaluation of Public Administration Courses under the Background of New Liberal Arts - An Analysis Based on Samples of “Public Policy Studies” of University S

Abstract: New liberal arts present requirements more comprehensive to education for students of public administration courses. On the current basis of education of students of public administration courses, it is of great importance to adjust teaching and evaluation methods with computational thinking, big data, cloud computation, machine learning, AI and other advanced theories while taking into consideration major courses and reality of the students. The idea of new liberal arts means that a variety of disciplines interact and integrate, requiring that teaching of major courses of disciplines involved provide improvement in teaching and evaluation modes. Taking as research object the evaluation results of “Public Policy Studies” course of public administration majors, the author, through comparison and reflection, suggests some ideas as reference to the teaching and evaluation reform of major public administration courses under the background of promotion of new liberal arts.
