西南丝绸之路上的船影——近代澜沧江—湄公河航运考

摘要: 澜沧江—湄公河在云南的大部分河段山势险峻、水流湍急,难以航渡,历史上关于澜沧江航运的记载寥寥。澜沧江中上游航运中长行不占主要地位,横渡才是主要的,横渡的方式主要是几种:架桥、溜索和舟船摆渡。澜沧江水系历史上曾经出现的古渡口至少有82个。澜沧江下游水势渐趋平缓,海拔高度降低,部分河段具备长行条件,历史上这条水道就是茶马贸易的重镇——思茅厅通向老挝、泰国、缅甸的商道,成为沟通中国与东南亚国家的西南丝绸之路的有机组成部分。

Abstract: Most of the Lancang-Mekong River in Yunnan is difficult to cross and navigate due to its rapid currents and the high mountains on both banks. There are few records of shipping on the Lancang-Mekong River in history. In its middle and upper reaches we are mainly talking about crossing instead of shipping. There were at least 82 ancient ferries along it in Yunnan in history. Its lower reaches are gentle and lower in elevation, thus some of its sections are possible for distant shipping. Historically, Szemao was an important tea and horse trade center on this waterway that led to Laos, Thailand and Myanmar. Now it has become an integral stop on the Southwest Silk Road connecting China with the southeast Asian countries.
