Abstract: The relationship between the mutation of UGT1A7 gene and pleural mesothelioma was analyzed in the pathological tissues of pleural mesothelioma and non-pleural mesothelioma.UGT1A7 gene fragments were separated and sequenced in the pathological tissues of 50 pleural mesothelioma patients and 7 non-pleural mesothelioma patients in the people's hospital of Chuxiong Yi autonomous prefecture, and the sequencing results were compared with the reference series of UGT1A7 gene in normal people. The results showed that four patients with pleural mesothelioma had mutations in the UGT1A7 gene segment,Case XL17,XL20 and XL41 all had base mutation at 234676872 place(amplification fragment 401) in UGT1A7 gene, and base C mutated into base T,with a total mutation rate of 8.00%.Case XL21 had A base mutation at 23467979 (amplified fragment at 508) in UGT1A7 gene, and base A mutated into base C,with a total mutation rate of 14.29%.The above studies indicate that the occurrence of pleural mesothelioma is related to UGTA1A7 gene mutation, but whether it is the direct cause of the occurrence of pleural mesothelioma remains to be further expanded sample study.
