We analyzed gene promoter,CpG islands, transcription factor binding site, gene expression, protein physicochemical properties, homology, subcellular localization, signal peptide and transmembrane region, protein structure and interaction of proteins of DNA damage specific binding protein 2 (DDB2).DDB2 gene was expressed in normal tissues of human body, among which leukemia promyelocytic cells HL-60 and lymphoblasts 721B had the highest expression. The DDB2 gene contained at least two promoter sequences and two CpG islands whose lengths were 109 bp and 267 bp.Furthermore, the promoter region contained at least two transcription factor binding sites of NF-1 and Sp1.The DDB2 protein was a hydrophilic protein composed of 427 amino acids. It was mainly located in the nucleus without signal peptide and transmembrane region. The secondary structure was mainly composed of random curl.It was also found that protein DDB1,CUL4A,CUL4B,XPA,COPS2,COPS4,COPS8,COPS5,COPS7B and TP53 may interact with DDB2.Bioinformatics has unique roles in genetic and protein research. We analyzed DDB2 gene and protein with bioinformatics method, which will provide theoretical basis and new clues for experimental research of DDB2.
