On Ways of Promoting Campus Patriotism Education through Affective Moral Education

Abstract: Affective moral education plays an important part in education of patriotism. To practise education of patriotism, closer attention should be paid to the linking function of affective moral education, which is usually missing from campus practice of patriotism at present. To ensure that our education of patriotism is effective, the following four measures should be taken: 1) emphasizing values guidance and strengthening education of ideal, belief and core values; 2) strengthening education of ethics through ideas of culture and benevolence; 3) adjusting and eliminating social alienation and unfairness to construct harmonious society and campus; and 4) promoting love for art, the nature and mother land through emphasis on the aesthetic idea of “community of shared future for mankind.”
