Abstract: General Secretary Xi Jinping observes with emphasis that teachers of ideology and politics should have a deep love for their home, their country and their nation. To develop such a love in teachers of ideology and politics in areas inhabited by minority ethnic groups in the southwest is of special significance and rich content. To do that, reality of universities of said areas should be taken into consideration and correct approaches be adopted so that these teachers can assume the responsibility with such a deep love to educate a new generation of builders to rejuvenate our country and nation by providing new human resources to sustain economic development and social advancement of the areas of minority ethnic groups of southwest China.
