A New Examination on Li Bai's Friends and Whereabouts in His Late Years - Centering around the Newly-unearthed Epitaph of He Changhao

Abstract: There are still many unsolved mysteries about the life of poet Li Bai, especially those regarding his life history and whereabouts. However, the newly-unearthed epitaph of He Changhao is of great help. Through cross-checking the unearthed materials while taking into consideration the poet’s interaction with He Changhao and other contemporaries, we can not only determine when and where Li Bai wrote the two poems for He Changhao, but also gain a clearer idea of his whereabouts in his late years.
