Development of Students’ Political Identification in Secondary School Teaching of Ideology and Politics

Abstract: Development of the students’ political identification is the core element of primary importance in teaching of ideology and politics in secondary school as it is the indispensable ideological prerequisite for socialist builders and successors. To tackle practical problems facing secondary school teaching of ideology and politics - stereotypes and dullness in development of the students’ political direction, onesidedness and ambiguity in development of the students’ value orientation, frigidity and monotony in development of the students’ love for both their family and homeland-this article suggests the following measures: education of “four histories,” topic based teaching, guided analysis of typical examples, and guidance of themed activities.
