Abstract: There is a significant overlap in nouns, verbs, adjectives, and quantifiers in the Chongqing dialect. The article conducts a specialized, in-depth exploration of the overlapping forms of measure words in the Chongqing Chengyu dialect, and summarizes the characteristics of the overlapping forms of measure words in it. From the perspective of grammatical meaning, it can be concluded that overlapping forms and grammatical meanings do not correspond exactly one-to-one. From the perspective of syntactic function, there is a complex relationship between overlapping forms and syntactic functions. From the perspective of subjective quantity, the four overlapping forms of quantifiers in the Chongqing Chengyu dialect all contain the subjective evaluation of the speaker and express their subjective quantity.
