Abstract: The discourse of socialism with Chinese characteristics was gradually systematized in the process of constant formation and improvement of practice of the Chinese-style modernization. This practice is of decisive significance to the construction of the discourse of socialism with Chinese characteristics, as it fundamentally defines the inherent prescriptiveness and intrinsic characteristic of the latter. Moreover, it fundamentally points out the basic approach to constructing discourse of socialism with Chinese characteristics. Firstly, the principal status of the people in the practice of the Chinese-style modernization should be given earnest attention. Secondly, the guiding significance of important issues in the practice of the Chinese-style modernization should be deeply strengthened. Exploring the process of this practice, therefore, is of global significance.
