Abstract: The thought of Lenin of power supervision was a great experiment of a socialist government and the first of its kind ever put into practice. Lenin created a power supervision system comprising of inner-party supervision, supervision of the state, supervision of the mass and supervision of the legal system. This system played an important role in checking power corruption and consolidating the new-born Soviet government. The thought of Lenin of power supervision is characterized by 1) adhering to the people, relying on the people and enabling the mass to play the supervising role; 2) improving and perfecting the discipline and supervision system to earnestly practice the supervision function; 3) implementing the thought based on the principles from the shallow to the deep and from the easy to the difficult so as to treat both symptomatic and systematic issues; and 4) promoting linking the party disciplines with law and defining the operation boundary of power.
