Abstract: As one of the Tibetan-Burmese languages of the Sino-Tibetan language family, the Dulong language has attracted attention of some scholars as early as the 1940s, and some academic achievements have been made. After sorting out the existing research results, it is found that study of the Dulong language involves six aspects: its relations, grammar, vocabulary, pronunciation, mother tongue ability and language variation. But as a whole, its study is still scattered as there is still a lack of research on its pronunciation, vocabulary, case markers, language variation, dialect, local language, mother tongue use, preservation, and language landscape, to name just a few.
