Abstract: The development of children's early reading ability enables them to understand and perceive the world, and also lays a foundation for their future development. This study investigates the use of new media in early reading of children aged 1―3 in the urban area of Qujing, and parents' understanding and guidance on children's use of new media. In this way, we can find out the existing problems, analyze the reasons, and give some reasonable early reading training strategies, so that parents can select and use new media to help children develop early reading skills, avoid adverse factors, improve their guidance ability, and promote better development of children.
