Mythological Explanation and Reflection on the Film Nezha – Birth of the Magic Child

Abstract: This paper is a study on the mythological symbols in the box office bomb Nezha – The Birth of a Magic Child. Departing from an analysis of the physical vehicles and the mythological ideas in the film, such as the beginning of the universe, human beings born from eggs, the Kunlun Mountain, pottery, bronze beast images and charms, the paper first explains the cultural meanings of the aforesaid symbols, then proceeds to suggest that innovative cultural projects should dig into the original codes to boost cultural identification to supply movie production with more creative ideas.
