Exploration of the Teaching Reform of “Color Composition” Course of Environmental Design - Taking Chuxiong Normal College as an Example

Abstract: “Color composition” is one of the most important basic courses in environmental design. The constitutive teaching model for this course was first introduced from Japan in the 1970s, but it is still used today. After decades, drawbacks of this teaching model begin to surface, making it unsuitable to the new talent training requirements. These drawbacks, such as disconnection between the course and the subsequent professional courses, inadequate learning effect, and lack of professional features, cannot be eliminated unless the teaching model for “color composition” is reformed in teaching objectives, teaching methods, evaluation system and other aspects.
