Abstract: As number of college students increases, the probability of students’ conflicts has been increasing, so has the management pressure on colleges and universities. Aiming at solving the problem, the state has prescribed stricter requirements regarding establishment of school safety risk management system. Taking conflict events of students of S College as the research object, this research studied the conflict cases and interview texts and the authors also analyzed the threats, trigger events and consequences of said cases. Through the study, some existing problems have been identified, such as lack of risk prevention awareness, inability to detect conflicts, inadequate risk prevention personnel and absence of conflict management bodies. Finally, this paper suggests some countermeasures, such as improving college students' ideological and political education, establishing a ‘5-in-1’ student conflict management mode, and constructing a comprehensive student conflict risk management system.
