Abstract: In order to explore the relationship between self-efficacy and self-esteem in procrastination behavior and learning engagement of college students majoring in sports, the procrastination scale, learning engagement scale, general self-efficacy scale and self-esteem scale were used to test and analyze 500 college and university students majoring in sports in Yunnan Province. The results show that there is a significant negative correlation between procrastination behavior and learning engagement, and a significant positive correlation between self-esteem and learning engagement. Mediating analysis shows that self-efficacy plays a part of mediating role between procrastination and learning engagement. The moderating mediating effect shows that the higher the self-esteem level is, the stronger the mediating effect will be. For college students majoring in sports with strong self-esteem, high self-efficacy may be a contributing factor to improve the learning engagement level. By controlling the level of self-efficacy and self-esteem, we can predict the level of learning engagement of college students majoring in sports.
